Just picked up my wacom pen for the first time in a long time, and did this one right in photoshop. I also use a ref pic for the moon but just dove in painted no sketches which made it a little more difficult....comments criticisms always appreciated

Wow! That is sweet. I love the stairs and the even lines. All I can say is finish this pic, I would love to see a later version of it. Other than that, just keep working it.

Above, like I said on IRC, I really like the watercolor feel of this. Perspective wise, the bottom step doesn't align with the rest of the steps, but that can be fixed no prob. If you are still working on this, I'd love to see a finished version. |

ok...
nightmare Thanks for the compliment I really appreciate it.
Ian Yea I'll be sure to post a later version.
Slicer Ding Ding! You got it..listening to some zeppelin while in photoshop so I just threw a quick staircase down and it led to this. Great pick-up.
LethargicBoy Yah I agree darker colors is a must, I also noticed that. As for texture arrrgghhh not my thing but I'll give it a try.
PuckDewd Thanks man, I can see why perspective is a prob cause I didn't use any lines I should have but i just wanted to jump right back into photoshop....
Thanks for all the replies and you convinced me to work on it some more I'll post a later version when I'm finished.
Keep 'em coming. |

Here's an updated version...I just tweaked it up a bit adding darker colors, some texture to the moon and a few minor things.
Enjoy!

The texture helps alot, it gives it that extra little "Umph". Can't wait to see some more stuff from you. |

even such tiny improvements mak it look way better, nice. i wish i diddn;t have to work in flash doing grunt work all day or i would be doing photoshop stuff more often.
P.S. the texturizer can be handy sometimes huh?

hmmm I used custom brushes not the texturizer, I'm to stupid to understand filters. Thanks for the compliments though.
