I need to find a variety of freelance illustrators. Anyone know of a good website to do so? Particularly, I'm interested in illustrators who are on the lower end of the cost scale.

I'm uncertain what lower end really is- I was hoping to feel it out from the posts. I think $20 a piece is a bit low. Ideally I'd think $50-$100 a piece for what we're going to need done will be ok, with a potential for many pieces (200 or so in total), but if I find I have to pay more for the kind of work I want, I'll just have to have fewer pieces. I won't go into specifics yet because I don't have much of a budget yet, but I want to start developing a list so that as the funds come in, I can start working with people.
A guess a url of what the project is won't hurt. Teaser site only here.

Hi Jeremy,
I'm not in the paintingscene for long, but I do have many experiences with the story, it seems to me, like you mixed up Pulp Fiction with the Illuminatus! Trilogy. I would be glad to take part in your Project.
I suppose the financial bases as the following:
You give me a first assignment which I'm going to do for free. If you are satisfied with the work by then, if you say 'oh yeah, the guy got it' you can engage me for 50$ per piece and I do as much as I can do for you - characters, background and technology.
please gimme a teasing assignment, doesn't hav to do anything with the project at all.

I'll qualify myself a little more based on some questions.
I guess if you're not sure if you have what I'm looking for, and so far, the portfolios posted are great, you should post your portfolio or email it to me and I'll let you know.
If you want to do what Shinkin did, I have no problem with that. And I won't use your work unless I decide to pay you for it, it's not for free- it will see if you can work with my direction.
I'm looking to spread the work around a decent ammount- the game's going to be illustrated in a fashion like a card game- lots of different artists, and I'm looking for really unique styles.
Again, my budget is limited currently. So not many are going to get work immediately. However, we're currently being looked at by venture capitalists. Cross our fingers on that one, because as everyone knows there's no guarentee with the VCs.
Thanks for listening.
