Hello everyone,
first of all, here is the image
This is a section from a wide photoshop layer i am going to insert into after-effects. The "camera" will pan across a beach at night lit by the moon. As you can probably see i'm not finished, but i would really like some tips and criticisms!!!
-thnx

It is a good start. Rocks are pretty hard to draw at least for me anyway. Right now it looks like all of the edges are blurred out. Keep in mind that there should still be some hard edges if your doing rocks. You might want to check out some of the pics that Loki has done for reference. |

Goo image, the thing is in after effects, pannings stuff looks kind of tooo computer generated, and not natural. I would suggest taking out the background, making it a transparent layer. Then stick in a moon/night bacground, and as the rocks layer pans across, the moon layer pans at a slower speed. This gives a natural layering look. I've done a ton of AE animations, and have used up to as many as 12 layers for simple panning effects.
And if you blur the mountain layer in AE as it pans, things don't look to cutout
