What kind of story is this for? Hrmm.. from my seat it looks too me like the big lizard dinosaur animal has his head turned around too far to be looking at the guy walking below him. That might partly be the reason why the guy looks kind of odd, because he seems to be in the wrong place if the dinosaur is looking at him. other than that, i cant wait to see it when its done, im berry berry Curious..... |

It's kind of hard to tell if the big beasty thing is friend or foe. It kind of looks like it's about to attack the guy, but then again it's hard to imagine that the guy wouldn't notice something that huge right behind him.
What do you want the viewer to be thinking or feeling when he/she looks at this? What's the relationshipo between the two characters? A successful illustration shouldn't leave any doubt in the viewer's mind about what's going on.
Illustrating a story is a great way to learn how to tell a story in a picture. Keep it up. You've got a good start, but it could use some tweaking.
I think giving us a little bit of the story would help us make better suggestions.
Are you going to put this up on a site so we can see and read the whole story when it's done? That would be cool. |
