Well here it is guys, a quick sketch and coloring I did. I'm saving up for a WACOM so I can stop painting these pictures with a mouse.
Please, devour. |

I'm not a big fan of Anime, but I have to say your choice of colors is both interesting, and incredibly cool. Those colors make me happy. |

Very cool. I'd like to see it with some shoulders drawn in - I think that would add a lot.
The one thing that threw me off was the left side of the helmet (the dude's left), the part that you can see behind his mouth. At first I thought it was some sort of comlink mouthpiece that he was screaming into. Then I thought "Man, it sure looks like he's chewing on that mouthpiece!" THEN I realized what was really going on.
It looks like it's a bit far forward, and a bit too bright. You could probably get away with removing it competely - you'd be left with a very nice profile of the guy's face. Either that or darken it up a bit so it looks like it's actually being shadowed by his head. |

If you realised what is really going on, could you enlighten me, cause I haven't :-P
You did that with a MOUSE? I can hardly draw even with a tablet... it amazes me what some people can do with a mouse...

Very nice coloring. Very Manga looking. However, if your going to include the line work you need to work on the using different line weights. Helps define the piece. For some good examples look at micke's work here on the forum. |

i agree with Chapel. Varying your line widths will add interest but more importantly it will better describe the forms you're trying to represent. |

Yeah i see how the second versions kinda a blunder, but its also more comic like which i think is alright. and the armour shoulers just look like crap so bleh on me.
I should have definetly did a traditional inking job, nice and clean, instead of screwing up in ps.
Thanks chapel n all |

I'll see if I can ink it for you tomorrow while I'm doinking at work. I can sneak in my ink pens... Wacom makes a weird impression under my shirt. |

Closer... it is really cool pic, but the line work still needs a little work. Could you maybe post the original sketch? I could try and ink it for you. |

Cool pic! I really like the guy's expression. But I like the first version better than the second, except for the weirdness going on behind his mouth. The line work doesn't bother me in the first, but stands out way too much in the second.
Chapel's on to something though. Doing a tradional inking job and then scanning it in and using PS for the coloring would make a world of difference. |
