I just got my Intuos 12x12 in the post and I thought I'd post my first pic up here because thats what lots of people seem to do
I did this in about half an hour, after about an hour of messing about getting used to my new tablet. Any comments are very welcome

I guess I'll just have to reply to my self, this will make an interesting thread. Could people please tell me how I could fix stuff like her left leg, how to add texture, to her pants, or critique me in some way ... or is it perfect |

Don't be afreaid to lay down some sharp highlights and shadows. Go in with a dark brush and really start working in the details. Give it some depth. Don't be afraid to try things. That's the only real problem I see so far, is that your shading is too vague. For texturing, go in with a very small brush and just sketch in little lines and wrinkles, keeping in mind the way those little details would affect lighting. Just keep in mind your light source and make sure all the shading and details don't conflict with it. |
