Here's my second post on the forums. I know there are some obvious things wrong with this (along with many empty areas), but I'm just looking for an overall critique on the technique, composition, and any other areas. Thanx.

Wow, that's really nice. The detail and shading is great. The composition is kind of plain, and the background isn't too interesting, but the figure itself looks REALLY good. You should crop the image to include just the figure, and try to smooth out the outlines. It would look a lot better. But still, awesome job. |

Gasp! that's some fine detailing you've got there. the textures are all right, metal looks like metal etc. I like the face, but at the moment it is not finished so there are things that you will probably change like the outlines on the sholderpad thingies....Man I feel soory for that guy. It would be hard work turning around.
can't wait to see it finished

Looks really good. I think what may help is to work on the cloak some more. Everything else in the figure has all this great depth and detail, and the cloak looks a bit flat in comparison.
Good work. |

the thing that jumps out at me is the dark outline around his shoulder. Dark outlines tend to flatten instead of giving more depth. I think softening the outlines would make him look less like a 'painting on a board', if you know what I mean...
Post it again when you decide how you are going to change it, 'cause I'de love to see it. |

make him look more angry,
I think a good thing for the backround might be some castle on a dark rock..just an idea
(not a middle age like one but a future one with lots of technical things on it)
