A sketch I started painting over. The background is kinda non existent at the moment, wasnt sure how to make it. Maybe some mountains on the shore, bit of sea coming in and a kinda dojo in the background...dunno. Also not sure about the pose (his legs mostly)

Any ideas and help would be extremely appreciated, Thanks..

Great picture cos!

Looks like he is making tai chi exercises with the sword on the beach.
You are right about the legs.. something looks out of place there.. Maybe it would be better if his step would be a bit broader.

cant wait to see the finished one.

psi burn : now what am I supposed to say to that? heh

Nex : Thanks alot man, he is supposed to be doing some kinda training (tai chi will do heh so I'm glad you picked that out. I'll try broadening the leg more, might make it look more dynamic. The background will change the whole look o the pic I guess, maybe inside a dojo building... hmmm

Nice colors Cos! Gives it a great sketchy feeling. I don't know why, but the sketchy finish and the hue says Frazetta to me. Could just be too much caffeine in my system though

Pretty neat Cos- I can, though, picture the sword flying off left on its own, and yanking him along for the ride! Good though.

I like that. You should propably make his stance a bit more balanced. Now guy is looking bit off balanced to attack. Just my advise. Looking great.
