..though I liked this pic...I really want to be able to draw mischeivous little elves with big pointy ears. That's my goal.

I'll leave King Arthur and big-breasted Amazons to you menfolk.

Why is she so sad, out of curiosity? Makes me wonder, draws me into the image....

Although it could use some refinement, the picture is quite effective, in my opinion. I like the background a lot. Just keep trying to draw human-ish creatures, and you'll surely get better with time. I like the emotional strength to the piece. Elves are my most favorite fantasy creature. It's good to see fantasy related art!

I like to write fiction...in fact, I'm fairly good at it...but I roleplay..in Vampire the Masquerade. One of my characters is an angelic fairy-esque creatures who has been punished for too many pranks. Her sentence is to keep an eye on the underworld.

Would that make *you* happy? lol

No, really, farther along in the story she mourns the loss of her innocence...she no longer sees things in a pure light, and it saddens her.

Thanks for the comments...I'm growing fairly attatched to this piece myself, as that character is no longer in play and she was one of my favorites. =)

I like it very much actually. It's not as defined or amazingly drawn as, say, a spooge sketch or something that those mad drawing masters can do, but it has a lot of feeling and it clearly transmits a message, gives the impression you wanted it to give. With only mostly vague shapes it actually makes a pretty good picture. The only thing I don't like is the wings, which I think are too sharp and too defined for the mood of the picture.

Well done :-)

they look more like pixies, elves are 6 and a half feet tall. but it's some really good stuff you have there. keep it up.
