Hello people,

Dunno how many of you remember this, but there was talk a while back of setting up a site dedicated to posting artwork based around two or three bi-monthly changing themes.

Well, it's been a while in the pipeline, but things are looking ready to go sometime soon. All were lacking are some theme ideas, and this is where you come in!

We want anything you can think of - complex narratives to one-word ideas. You'll be credited with the theme if we use it, and thoug we could just come up with all the themes, well it'll be more fun if users contribute to it. It'll make sure the variety is there, as opposed to us just dictating our pet ideas every month or so!

Oh, and "us" is myself and regular poster Ceenda.

Good grief, this came a bit faster than I thought it would...

Anyway, I thought I would just take tell anyone who's interested what's happening.

There was an idea (and has been suggested by some previous people) that there could be a bi-monthly theme for _anyone_ to contribute to. Basically Fred FlickStone recently started a thread which, in general, had a very good response. However, it seems that the forum is possibly not that successful at holding such events as people who don't want to contribute might be annoyed at the same thread appearing again and again at the top.

Also, I felt that the way the thread was set up on the sijun server that people felt that they were under some pressure to put a message up soon.

SO JayBee and I decided that people might enjoy a non-compulsory fun theme site which mimicked sijun where people could post ideas and concepts for themes at their leisure, independant of sijun.

It may be cool, it may not work. But people....... lets... give it a try!

Posting here would certainly make sure I don't manage to lose any contributions in the tidal wave of emails I get each day (yeah right!), but whatever.

I'll be releasing a URL soon, after I've got some decent theme ideas, and after that there's going to be a forum dedicated to theme discussion on the site, so you can post there to your heart's content.

Anyway, we still need themes, so get those thinking caps on. Or something...

Sounds good to me, I'll be looking forward to it. I know how tough it is to put something like this together, especially when you don't know how well people will take to the idea. So come on people, if you guys like this idea then let ceenda and jaybee know about it!
