Hey A couple of the guys over at Presto turned me onto this site. .nice stuff. I have been doing 3d for awhile and still a newbie when it comes to painting I will learn though.

Nice character face you've made out of Dhabh's picture. You have some nice work at your site too. THat picture with the guy holding some flaming balls in his hands, I've seen that before. Was it for a 3dsmax book or something ?

That is what I recognize it from. It was either in a game magazine or Graphics Designer magazine.

Hey guys Thanks! Someone asked about the software.. I used max and painted the "power" in Painter5 and PS, it was for Intergraph. I am working on a "David and Goliath meets topcow" animation I will post some pre stuff soon.

A couple of hints

You can edit your posts as well, just click on the edit/delete thing above the post and change what you want.

Some of those pics aren't showing because they are ftp. I think you need http for stuff to work.

The ones that show are fantastic though

hey sure.. you want to be sure to have a good drawing scanned in.front and side, displayed on two planes. Then I just use a plane of like 2x2 turn it into a editable mesh and slap a meshsmooth on it, go to the bottom of the stack and turn on "show end result"(the little test tube thingy)and go into a sub object mode (points) this will show you your smoothed obj w/ a lattis. start with like the eyebrow and position the 9 points and select an edge hold down the shift key and start pulling out edges. thats about it. pull and weld points untill you have a face. just takes practice but your drawing skills are the most important thing.
