I checked all release dates I could find for Germany for the whole next year and couldn't find a release date....the release date given at IMDB.com is crap, that's actually the release date for a film called "Requiem" which is about soldier's graves, as I found out.
Aronofsky's first Film, "Pi" rocked the world, it ranks among the 10 best films I ever saw and I can't wait to see Requiem for a Dream, but as it seems no German distributor cares about it.
On a side note, what do you think about Aronofsky's directing the next Batman. While it's certainly cool for the guy since he did his first film by begging for the money and to see how much he has advanced since then, I think that it's a bit contrary to what he has been doing up till now. His films (well I only saw Pi but I think I got a good grasp what Requiem for a Dream is about from the website) were all to some degree about the negative effects of commercialism on people, and well Batman is just that - commercialism.

Is there a word "Commercialism" ? I just invented it because I don't know a better one. What I mean is doing stuff for the love of money not for the love of the thing. Hmm. I think you know what I mean
