A friend sent me this really cool wallpaper from Leon (The Professional in America), but the image quality was very, very shitty and grainy and there was a URL in the bottom right corner and it just overall looked crappy (look at it here - http://www.eccentrix.com/artist/pete/profwall1.jpg ). Since it was such a kickass image I decided to do my first image restoration or whatever it's called and clean the image up. Here's what i've done so far - http://www.eccentrix.com/artist/pete/profwall2.jpg after about an hours work. The new version is 1600x1200 compared to the original's 1024x768, I changed the lighting and blurred the background to focus on the characters, and obviously reworked alot of the details after getting rid of the grain. Whatchaa thinkk?

thats not a HE! its a girl.... DUH if im not mistaken its that uh queen amadala girl, and that movie kicks SO MUCH ASS and i dont think its in the movie cause i dont remember her ever getting a gun.... i ould be wrong tho.

good job of restoration, comming along nicely!

Yeah That's Natalie Portman (spelling?) alright . Great Movie.

Interesting story regarding this movie.

I'm watching this movie in a completely dark house. In the den in the basement.
During the scene where the fat guy's breathing all heavy like and looking around Cause he know's he's about to get whacked. It's really tense and edge of your seat type thing cause you don't know how he's going to die.

Anyway, Just as Leon Jumps out at him I hear a noise upstairs which was really odd because I'm home alone for the week. And it's four in the morning on Christmas eve. (this is back when I was still in high school and living with my parents.) [It's a little late for santa to be popping in I figured OK]

So I sneak upstairs all quiet like, right, and I'm really straining to hear the noise, and I'm walking on my tiptoes In case there IS someone in the house, I want to be the one sneaking up on them.

So at this point, imagine I'm standing there in my underoos, Breathing heavily but trying to subdue it's sound and I'm kinda scared even though I'm A Kung-Fu master.

I tiptoe into the hallway, peek around behind the bathroom door, and BOO!!! out Jumps this Crazy Stalker girl who followed me around a lot.

AAAAAAAAAAAAGGH!!

"what the hell are you doing in my house?"

"I missed your birthday, and I heard you were alone for christmas So I though I'd come over, and keep you company"
(Incidentally she was like 12 and I was 17.)

"Bleepity-Expletive-Bleep. Couldn't you have at least called first?"

"I wanted to suprise you."

"How did you get out here anyway?"
(I lived on an acherage about 10 minutes out of town)

"I walked."
(I live in Canada. It's Christmas. there's a lot of snow in December.)

"Well... Sit down and Get warmed up and I'll go start the car and take you back in."

"Ok."

Since I'm watching my Movie I figure I'll go downstairs and stop the tape. So I go downstairs. (She follows of course) and I plunk down and try to rewind the tape to where I left off before I head in.

Ding-Dong. <-that's a doorbell sound.

"WHAT THE HELL? it's 4:00AM on Christmas eve what Psychopath comes out here at 4:00 on Christmas eve?" (I was between girlfriends at the time so that wasn't it)

I stomp back upstairs, quite pissed off about my movie, being interupted and having to Go into town. I open the door. And it's my Ex-Girlfriend.

"Uhm Hi... what do you want?"

"-insert same thing Crazy girl said. But with that hurtin' Ex-girlfriend look and sound-"

Crazy stalker girl comes around the corner.

Ex pipes up "OH I see you have company already. Is this what you left me for Dean? A 12 year old? Blah Blah Blah Bitch bitch ( you see why I left her)"

me... thinking... about a hundred different things I could say....

"Yes." Crying, ensues.... Crazy Stalker girl looks happy. (Damn) "How'd you get out here anyway?" (she doesn't drive.)

"Cab."

"Well you may as well come in. I have to take her back in anyway.... actually forget it I'm going to go watch my movie. I'll run you both back in after."

Back to the Den.
I Watched The movie with them both Scowling at one another the whole time.
Then I took them Both home.

It was great fun Indeed.

If anyone actually Read this. I'm sorry I Spit that at you. I just love that story. I'm probably missing something though.

I don't know if you wanted to remain the photo-ralistic look.. if so then you should try to get it look less painterly. Somehow its in between painted look and photo look which is quite confusing

Damn that kicks ass!

I love the way it looks in between painted and photograph. Also the new color scheme is much better and it's great how you kept the figures focused while blurring the back. Awesome work...

P.s. anyone else noticed this is a posed shot that doesnt actually come from the movie?

Ah much thanks for the comments, I have been working on it a bunch more and it is looking vary excellent. I sort of wanted a painted look, by the way. I'll post a newer version soon . . .
