I was wondering if anyone had some info on what software comic colorists use. A few years back i talked with Quinn Supplee who worked for Olyoptics, A Color studio who was doing the Spawn comics and other various Image titles. Last i heard, Quinn moved to Poison frog studios, i'm not sure what their working on. Anyway, at the time he said he was using a program called COMIC PREP by a company named Cod Barrett. Supposedly it was similar to photoshop but the masking tools were more directed for comic coloring. I was wondering if anyone has heard if this software still exists either as comic prep or a new Modified piece of software. If anyone here colors comics for a living i would love to hear what you use if it's something other than photoshop. Thanks |
