I have been visiting this board for only a few weeks and I am astounded with the quality of the artists who post here. With that in mind please be kind to my first post here - this is a magazine cover I was contracted to do for a local Irish Group - the word FEIS is irish gaelic for Irish Dancing Competition - Only programs used were Illustrator and Photoshop...comments or questions welcome...

Nice Eastern touch! Good color scheme and all... but the white background... nah~
Put something there. So it feels less lonely. Maybe a light silhouette of a dancer? |

This picture is nice but it is missing various aspects to give it closure. Don't listen to me, I have been gfx and web designing for a while now and I have grown to be very picky with small details. Anyway here we go, I would get rid of the bevel, make the bg color a light green to adjust the strong contrast. I would also add drop shadows to the the interloping rings to add depth. Just some suggestions.
