What i first noticed was that i had problems seeing it was a face...I assume that you
like the rough metal gear drawings.I love them too!
The shadows(or is it comouflage?)and highlights makes it confusing and look too random and makes the face look flat.
If you're having problems, just take a look at books, photos, comics or even your own face to see how it really is.Not good to do things the way you think it is, do it like it is and experiment from there.That's one of the first rules and most important i think.Learn to see and observe.

| Yeah, I just realized how confusing the face is. And no, that doesn't sound hard at all. I really rushed the pic, hehe...just used a pencil crayon for the purple stuff, stuck it in photoshop and filled it black and crosshatched it. I'll pick up a coupla books on metal gear. Thanks guys! |
