I know I am going to age myself now with this one. I just moved. While unpacking, I came across an old sketchpad of mine from 1986. I was 16 then. This is the doodles I did in class while waiting to get out of class cause I was bored to death. Definitely knew nothing about the human form back then.

Gut wrenching to see this stuff now. Share my humility with me...

We all started somewhere...

Thanks for posting to these. I wasn't expecting anyone to write to these. I have some other sketches in the book, let me think about scanning them in too. I have so much other stuff to post now. Over the dry spell...
Prox-love the helmet eye guy...got anymore? Post em...

16 in 86! Yay! I love having birthday that makes the year somehow coincide with the age you are.

I was 6 in 86. I'll see if I can't find some of my art to scan from then too!

Ha ha ha. That drawing in the middle reminds me of an 80's music video. No offense.

Hmm. I don't know if this belongs here but I was sorting through my hard drive and I ran across one of my first photoshop cartoons from about 2 years ago. This thing still amuses me to this day, even though it's drawn pretty horribly. I'm easily amused though

I was 6 in 86 too. I feel young.

Ahhh....HELLO....Fred those are like...bloody good. Christ if I showed you what I was doing at 16 it would be sad. I literaly couldn't draw anything.

I'm thinking of taking back what I suggested about posting your older stuff. To get some bad pics out of you were going to have to go back to before you could speak. What did they feed you?

Manik, that image is great. It is great to see where the inspiration started. This might not be your initial start, but look at your work now and see where this stuff influences you now...

Rinaldo, I have found some really old stuff. I will scan it when no one is around here. Truly embarassing. I am also going to get that art center folio up too, or what is left of it. All the marker renderings have faded to nothing, or are totally brittle and I cant scan them. They are in these gaudi 18 x 24 mounting board things, the stuff art center used to like to see. If I scan them in the mounts, I cant get the images close enough to the glass,if Itake them out of the sleeves, they will fall apart. The paintings are still good to go though. I think there is still 7 good peices left...
Thanks again for all the nice and funny relpies.

wow, Personally, I've never been good at freehand, I've always found myself leaning more towards Photo manipulation. Here's a pic I did when I was 15 (hehe, sorry to break the chain)
It was a final exam for my Multimedia class. Teacher just said "Prove to me you deserve and A" Here's what I came up with

WOOHOO!
Found Some stuff!!

there's more embarassing stuff back at my parents house I'm sure but this will suffice.

It's Alan Moore (the comic Writer guy) from that little square photo they always show in wizard. Done in pencil crayon when I was 16

it's my very first Digital drawings done when I was probably 15 or 16 in A pirated Copy of Adobe Photoshop 3.01 Universal (HEY I was 15 like I had the cash to buy the bloody thing) on a Macintosh LC475 with 20, count em, 20 megs of ram mostly drawn with the line tool. And a mouse!

It's a Science Class Title Page done when I was 13 (most likely copied) and colored with fantastic Crayola markers!

ha ha ha WHEEE! edited out all the extra "t"s in my htttttp to make the pictures work.
