I don't have any but I'd sure like to get my hands on Spooge's set.

I could put it in my resume.
Me:
"and I use the same brushes as Craig Mullins"

prospective employer:
"Well you must be good then"

(Sorry spooge I'm just a hapless little fanboy)

That's the only costume brush I have.
Nah, I don't really use custom brushes... I make them on the fly if I need any, usually for hair and stuff.

Frost, haha

About those brushes, I do have my own brush set for Painter 6. I'm not going to give it out though, but it's not all that interesting either Mullins's brushes however are interesting, and he did post his Photoshop brush set some months ago, you can find it with the search tool I'm sure.

I think I remember spooge saying he really just uses the round ones (and you can see that in his stuff I think).
Custom brushes are best for funky special effects, I reckon.
for example; http://fluxion.ii.net/smackback1flat.jpg
(too wide to actually post, but it's only 14k. check it out) a pretty crappy unused web page backdrop I did. The best bit is that vertical thing, which was done with one (or maybe two) strokes of a custom brush.
hours of fun.

At Craigs(Spooge) talk, he mentioned that he really mostly uses the round default brushes.
Funky brushes start creating texture, unless your whole image is going to head in that direction.

There are a heap load of free brush shareware online, maybe start there for some inspiration...

I use the round default brushes. I have custom brushes, but I only use them when I need to add something to a photo, or I need to touch up the frames on Myst. Theres going to be plenty of that soon...
