alright, here's the changed version for those who don't care about reading poop mixed with garbage:
no matter how big of boobs i give the girl, it always looks like a guy. SO, my point is, what's in a girl that a guy don't have??

girls DO come from mars, keep that in mind. they are not as they seem, as the owls ever were.

i thought men came from mars and women came from venus.
maybe this is where the drawing problems are coming from. now that i have cleared up this confusion, i expect to see nothing but technically perfect female figure drawings from now on!

I would begin by checking out the figure drawing books of Andrew Loomis. I believe there's one on just heads and hands but if you can't find that one, I think Walter Foster has one done by him (Loomis) in his series of books. The Foster version is super condensed and the reproductions are crappy but its cheap price wise where the original isn't. Drawing from life is also another good place to improve on those skills.

hm
well women have wider hips. the facial features are often softer, eyebrows somewhat thinner, eyes less deepset? they don't necessarily need big boobs. my problem is that i can't draw guys. they always end up looking somewhat girlish. i prefer to call them androgynous though, so i'll feel better.
if u don't want them to look like big buff olga the viking woman, then don't make the muscles quite so pronounced. this is my amateur take on how to draw a girl |

hey nightmare man, awesome!!! totally, it's totally, yes, man it's in the eyes and eyebrows... that's what i was missing, the jaw and lips also kinda mucked with it too. as for the wider hips, my drawing ended up looking like she got a boob implant in her butt. alright!!! 8 posts!!! OMG!!! that's the most posts i've ever had in my entire life on here!!
p.s- how is it that if the average girl draws a stick figure, it looks like a girl, and the average guy draws one, it looks like a guy? i mean like a face, you know?? just three dots, a line, and a circle... weird

You have to check off the signature box at the bottom of the post EVERY TIME. I almost always forget to check it. |

well, "why do 3d modeled women look disturbingly unrealistic 90% of the time? 'cause the modeler has yet to see a naked woman outside of his monitor." applies to drawing as well..
and regarding your changed original post, breasts don't necessarily make a woman, for god's sake 25% of finnish +70 old men would be women by that definition.
not to mention big breasts don't r0x.
*shrug*
bug darkmoon long enough and she might give you a "learn to draw a female in 5 minutes, god damnit" lesson. it worked for me. it's a idiot proof way. even faustgfx-proof. too bad i'm too lazy to type and draw examples here. (or "busy" even)
edited by an idiot who still can't type.
