What a great set of cheekbones!
Just thought you might like it. Too brief to be critiqued seriously |

man that's awesome spooge
It looks like some sort of a combination between some sci-fi stuff and classic painting. love the shapes, shadows of the face and the way you've colored the whole picture.

The dark strokes to the upper left of the hat make it look as if he has rabbit ears under there
Other than that though its 'splendid quality good' |

Hey! That's very nice. I like the tint changes in the face, although a bit exaggerated. Very nice. =)) |

Why has spooge got a new name?
is it dead obvious to everyone else?
ignore me if it is.
Spooge, I salute you!

Does the new name have any reference to after watching John Watkiss? hehe...Beautiful image, I love the color shift in the face, and how you modelled it up. Beautiful... |

Gladiator right?
He was the 2nd hand man to Russel Crow. Took care of his dog or something.
Tight movie.

Yeah..I have to agree with everyone. The modulation of the face from warm to cools is very well done. The dark red tint to the ear in shadow is strong as well. Really feels like blood is flowing through this guy's face.
I agree this looks like the guy from Gladiator,(I believe he also was a general) What strikes me as odd here is the feel of the lighting. It might be because of the scarf but it feels like flourescent lighting instead of natural. But..as you said..it's too brief to be critiqued seriously. |

That's amazing. You're a genius. Most people would be afraid to try and color the face blue, but yet it looks so natural. Awesome job. Your knowledge of color never ceases to amaze me. |

Fred, that John Watkiss guy, he did some really nice consept artwork for Disney's Tarzan...I loved those pictures he did a looong time before the movie was released. I can remember they used 2 or 3 of his pictures as movie teaser pics before anything was released from the film.
spooge, you should have invited him to join this forum
Hehe, if worthless_meat_sack is not spooge, then it must be his brother or something. Even with that spider robot thing in black and white I was pretty sure about the fact that spooge is worth_less_meatsack. And, I don't mean that litteraly, but by the name
-It's a very cool name though.

Awesome work! I love the face. So realistic, yet without sacrificing the brush strokes. Amazing. I think the colorisation of his lower face is what really makes the whole thing work though.
Keep up the great work, and keep posting it.
