Spooge-I wanted you to be the first from the con to know that bud plant is announcing the republished book of dean cornwell, out in october for $75. Absolutely worth the money. You can pre order reserve a copy at the con. If you want me to, I will order a copy for you so it is on hold, I garuntee you this first run will be sold out quickly.
Also for sale in october, besides the art of the Matrix, is a coffee table book on Robert Mcginnis' work for $35, also taking preorders at the con.
And one last question, what day and time is your speech? I need to ask ahead for the time off...? Thank you and get those books, or I will order them for you, whatever... |

Spoooge!!
Yes, please reserve both for me! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
My "speech" (mumbling) is
> Artists Guest Speakers
>
> Sat. July 29th
> 6-8pm
>
> ArtCenter College of Design
> La Times Media Theater
> 1700 Lida St, Pasadena
>
> Guest speakers include:
>
> John Watkiss
> Craig Mullins
> Barry Jackson
>
I know Barry, never heard of Watkiss, but his work looks way better than mine. I hope I don't wet myself, like I usually do
PS.
Others have asked about stuff that sucks, and I found a drawing I did when I was 12. I know cause I actually dated it on the back and wrote a story and everything. Pretty twisted. If I were to do this today I would never see daylight again.

12? seriously? If so, you're right (from what I hear); they'd drug you to the eyeballs and lock you under the stairs for such things these days for sure.
Are there any web showing for all the names being mentioned here? Anyone know? |

spooge, that's a mighty powerful tank
fred, just to mention it incase you haven't ordered it yet. They will sell the cornwell book at amazon as well. A bit cheaper, and where you can also order it by fed-ex. But, I guess that doesn't matter for you who live in the US. But for me, shipments from budplant has taken up to 2-3 months

Fred - what type of book is it? I mean, does it have more than simply his paintings?

Sounds great, I just ordered it on Amazon. Any other books you consider must haves? I usually stick to my favs(Mucha, Leonardo...ummm....Mucha...some Escher and Dali).
Also, can you give some feedback on my pic? I'm picking on you since you're up at this hour.

Anthony that is money well spent. Deans paintings make me cry. Not out of envy but just because they are so beautiful.
I know we should be our own artists but I God gave me the chance to be as good as Dean I would not turn the offer down. |

I agree Lotor. I know Thomas Blackshear feels the same way.
AS far as a book of my stuff, maybe in 10-20 years. I am not happy where I am at. I have a long way to go yet.
Fred, I will bring you a check at Art Center? |

Have it, naturally(Mucha's my favorite). Lotor, glad to hear it-he's unknown to me(since I'm more into the 3d side and am without traditional training I just find people either by accident or through friends). Thanks all!
