Is there any Chicanos in here if you don't know what a chicano is its a mexican american person...

Well have any of you seen chicano arte...

here check out this dudes site its cool I love his art...

the site is not very well designed but the art is real cool...

Las ilustraciones de los "HOMIES" son graciosas y denotan un estilo bastante personal ,sin embargo estoy deacuerdo con Rinaldo en que el resto son en lo que a color se refiere demasiado ingenuas,aun asi
Dave Gonzalez me parece uno de los grandes artistas chicanos auque a muchos no nos entusiasme.

hey ive heard about these...i saw this in the news once about the homies figure stirring up some controversy....thx for the link

as for the art i like it....though i wont see any lowriders(ive seen them decorated with airbrushed artwork) around here , since im from the east coast.......

I'm agree with you Rinaldo,his use of the color is so simply( a green cocodrile with red tongue)and so similar to 80's airbrush artists.

Yes, I like it..Something different to look at. I love that Pretty in Pink but do find it very commercial looking...

i hate how people have to combine race/nationality with a style of art and call it something based on that, like this. i dont always hate the artwork, i just wish people didnt have to say "thats mexican style work" or "thats chinese style" or whatever. its a style of art, it doesnt always have everything to do with nationality. unless you're talking about cultural art.

I don't like it either, It's technically okay but reminds me a lot of generic airbrush art(ists) good technique but no idea about colour, or how to put a picture together.

It's like " this is a red car so I'll use red" Instead of thinking in terms of value and reflection, and the overall colour scheme.
