Hey, that reminds me of Blade's car in the movie... same thing or just a black muscle car?

I'm with psi. I've always had a thing for Mercedes, and the SLA series are especially sweet. I wish they'd give them fricken names though.

Anybody else here think military cars are the shit? I mean the shit, as in fucking cool. Jeeps, Humvees, big fucking trucks. I love them.

I am not a big car fan..I like trucks...my favorite type of vehicle though is the humvee (hummer)

here are some sweet ones (and they aren't cheap, a good consumer based one, the cheapest is around 35k), the most expensive one I found was 125k...which had tv, cd, EVERYTHING in it, with a v10 waterproof engine

Arnold S. (terminator) hummer cost him 158k, cause he had it custom fit.

anyway here is some cool pics.

sorry for the size on the second one...anyway that second one is the new prototype model being developed right now for consumers...i hear they are taking deposits for them right now...

Hey everyone. Forgive me if this has been done before (I don't come to random musings much).

What's the coolest looking car ever made, in your opinion? Any year, any model, any country.

My vote: Ferrari F-50!

Pictures would also help, since many cool cars are exotic, and people might not know what they look like!

Have fun, though nothing's cooler than the F50

g:tech...When I first saw Blade, I thought it was a Camaro. But there's a scene when they get right up on the grill and you can see it's a Dodge Charger..like the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazard. But I think it was the same year. '68s and '69s all had SWEET body styles across the border.

Speaking of Blade, Blade 2 comes out 2001 sometime.

I looked it up on www.imdb.com (Internet movie database) and found, pretty much, 2 different sounding plots to me on what blade 2 will be about.

Here is the first one

quote
Quote:
When the warrior Blade travels back in time and affects the past, he accidentally triggers the deadly 'Blood Tide.' When he returns to his present, he finds that the Tide has caused the world to be overrun by vampires, and must use all his powers to eliminate the vampires and reclaim the world for humans.

and the second one

quote
Quote:
A rare mutation has occurred within the vampire community. The Reaper. A vampire so consumed with an insatiable bloodlust that they prey on vampires as well as humans, transforming victims who are unlucky enough to survive into Reapers themselves. Now their quickly expanding population threatens the existence of vampires, and soon there won't be enough humans in the world to satisfy their bloodlust. Blade, Whistler (Yes, he's back) and an armory expert named Scud are curiously summoned by the Shadow Council. The council reluctantly admits that they are in a dire situation and they require Blade's assistance. Blade then tenuously enters into an alliance with The Bloodpack, an elite team of vampires trained in all modes of combat to defeat the Reaper threat. Blade's team and the Bloodpack are the only line of defense which can prevent the Reaper population from wiping out the vampire and human populations.

I might be reading them different, but they sound totally different to me. Oh well, I for one hope for the second one, the first one sounds like a stretch off Terminator or T2, which has no place for a Blade movie.

The second one sounds cool...The Reaper's sound like they will put up a bigger fight then the vampires in Blade Can't wait...

The most beautiful car is a car on fire.

When i set my principes aside though, i think the govt. issue version of the HumVee looks mean as hell That baby is the grindcore amongst cars.

Yeah, the Honda gets 70-ish . . . I get over 50 MPG on the freeway . . . and let me tell you, there's nothing like the throaty whimper of 70 horsepower.

Ahhhhaahaha!

I remember driving a Geo Metro (automatic) for my driver's education class. With me, and my instructor in the car, I had it FLOORED on a completely horizontal freeway and I don't think I got past 60 mph. People were passing me left and right!

Aaahahah! "throaty whimper"!! Brings back memories! *sniff*

Is it true that in America the majority of ppl drive automatics?
I don't even know HOW to drive an auto, only manual. Bit different here, I suppose. I think I would prefer manual anyway, if I had a choice. Has more "oomph".

Count Zero:

I'm not sure, but I think most Americans DO drive automatics. They're simple, easy, and the perfect example of a lazy lifestyle

Are you serious about not knowing how to drive an automatic?? There's no stick. You have "Park, Drive, and Reverse". Select which you want, leave it there, and hit the gas pedal. To stop, push the brake. It idles automatically! Ahahha, it's true! Americans ARE lazy!

Oh wait.. the reason I have an automatic is cuz I need my hands free to play with the stereo or to wave at hot chicks... or something.

I hate Vehicles. But for some reason when i saw Honda's insight it made me almost think about wanting a car again.

Otherwise I loved my Pontiac Sunfire LE convertable. I loved it .because it had to be the worst piece of sh*t i've ever had to drive but at the same time all my highschool buddies were like "Wow you've got a sweet car". Then I'd proceed to make it shoot oil out from Someplace it shouldn't have been shooting out of and go "Yeah. SWEET CAR!" .

Design has a lot to do with my two favs. First you have the classic design as shown here:

'66 Vette

and then you have the concept design that I like:

'95 30th Anniversary Edition Lamborghini Diablo Roadster

*If the png file doesn't show up say something and I'll convert it to jpeg. Just running an experiment.

Chris: Yeah, I hope the second plot is used. It sounds really cool. I don't know about bringing Whistler back... that seems impossible. But then again, I dont' know anything about the Blade comics or the rules associated with its world. In comics, though, anything goes.

balistic: *grin* Speaking of gas mileage, doesn't the Honda Hybrid (the half-gas, half-electric) get some mean gas mileage, too? Which one gets better mpg?
