Hello guyz! I use to sketch and draw all sort of crappy stuff and confess that toons are quite a passion. I once discovered a trick to antialias a drawing so it would look smooth on the edges instead of jagged. Ok, what I used to do was:
1) Get the toon in black and white or just before I colored it and apply the Magic Wand on the edges until all was selected.
2) Turn it into a working path (in Photoshop)
3) Fill the path with black w/antialiasing turned on. It usually produces pretty good results, infortunately, the pathfinder won't
be that good at finding curves (no matter the 0,5 tolerance factor)...I am thinking about adjusting the path manually but sometimes it's a real pain.
Has anybody a trick he/she's willing to share with me about it?
Here's a pic to show you what I mean:
Tell me what you think of it. It's for a toon series (no animation, comics style only), anyone is welcome for design/production/etc, etc...It doesn't pay...it's just for the sake of it (we could sell it l8r, though).
Thanx for your constructive input.
