If you were going for true realism, you may have your proportions a bit off the mark (although I'm not one to talk. I consider the vast majority of realism pics to be boring photo-tracings).
However, I absolutely love that style....reminds me of the art found in 'Road Rash' for the 3D0.

You know what ...screw it man
I actually love this painting. This painting may have a lot wrong but not enough to ruin it by a long shot.
This is increadibly fresh for a computer painting especially.
Promise me you won't do a thing to this. If you must just "save as" and then you can experiment.
If you keep working on this it might look over worked and that would ruin it.
slurp slurp i love it
such cool looking hair

I kinda like the distorted eyes, adds a bit of character to the face. But the mouth bugs me. Teeth dont work in a big flat plane. The mouth area is called a tooth cylinder...Name says it all. The teeth sit on a cylindrical plane, and roll back to the back of the jaw. THe teeth actually start growing just under the nose, and in the furl of the chin. But the arent exposed till the closed lip region...
You could also maybe deepen teh value of the plane under her chin to separate the frontal plane from the bottom plane of the head...
Overall I really think this piece is strong visually and in terms of portraying character in this image. It is quite nice... |
