hey all .. well i did this thing last night as a concept for a mascott for .. LA County Beaches and harbors .. they wanted some fish thing so i came up with this as a prelim .. her it be ..

Looks like a good start
How about making the colouring even more
simpler and a bit fresher(stronger, brighter)
I would maybe remove the upper eyelids. They make him look a bit lazy.

remember:
"They can breathe under water because they have amphibious nostrils".

you know now that i look at its does have the reptile belly .. ill have to fix that .. and i do also think it would look better with more vibrate colors .. but they or the client will have to tell me what colors they ultimatly want cuz they are picky about the colors from what iv been told thanks for all the feed back ! it helps alot ..

Is it just me or can anyone else see this fish with a big elvis looking hairdo.

Hrmn... pretty good... I also think you might want to simplify the color and add a higher amount of saturation... right now it looks kinda painted yet also cartoony... Some more vibrant colors might add some.. uh.. character.. to the... character.. er something.
