Hey all,
Just looking for comments on this EE logo I made in July 1999.
(EE Exile Entertainment). there website is www.exileworks.com. (I do not work for them)
EE is rendered in 3D app.
Sketch's made for EE layout befor jumping into the Computer.
Background is 100% photoshop. Small plug-ins used on background to get Stone FX.
Look for big comments not just "cool" or "wow" please take your time.
Thanks for your time,
ZAP

looks good man.....but,
whats the logo gonna be used for, I mean its a bit complicated for say a letterhead but ok for a title page or web page. You've kept it fairly simple which is good, don't overwork it.

the exile entertainment text is too simple, and the font isn't exactly the best one for the picture either.. the minimalism of the exile entertainment text kind of ruins the image.
my 2 rusty cents.

Ex: thanks
El: Used for website, yes its overworked to fit the needs of enjoyment.
Faustgfx: thanks for the rust cents! I can agree with you on the Font being too small. Is it making it hard to read?
Here is what can be used on a box or letterhead logo (resized of course to fit needs)

I'm liking the logo. Just a couple of comments (or opinions really).
The EE seems to have "crashed into" that stone backing, however the cracks surrounding the logo are very soft. If you want to make it seem like a more apparent impact, it might be nice to show some jagged edges, and some more dark/light contrast and texture on top of the cracks to give them a much more definite look. The EE seems so sharp, yet the surrounding stone just seems a tad too soft and smooth.
The Exile Entertaiment logo seems too soft. I think it should stand out more and be a bit sharper.
Although I say that, the logo is great. As is, it has a very "painted" feel to it

hey zapman.
The first one you posted is quite nice, perhaps missing a subtle surface noise or something, it seems a bit smooth to me, the white-ish emboss details stand out a bit too much because of the higher intensity, possible not subtle enough.
The letterhead logo reminds me a lot of the Ion Storm logo and colors... green orb... (http://www.ionstorm.com).
Yup, I really like the first one though. =)
cheers,
frost. |

i really like the cracks myself, doesnt look like the letters "slammed" into the brick but more like it was chisled or cut away...
i dont know if im misunderstanding or something but if the 2nd logo was serious it could seriously use some work, especially the aliased plain letters just laying there |
