Does anyone know of any books that cover Semoitry and other theories involving art?
Semoitry - stuff like
Left: Past
Right: Future
Up: Positive
Down: Negative
Since I'm practically a newbie again with art - I want to learn all and practice as many of these concepts as possible so I don't have to reteach myself to behave in those ways. Hope that all made sense...

| Is this some new topic I am totally unaware of? Where have you heard the term semoitry, if there is a website with this stuff listed could you send the URL this way? Are you sure you don't mean semetry? I am a bit confused... |

Possibly. I picked it up off of Misery's site....which is no longer around because he's taking time to himself. I found some stuff on it in Hasting's at 1 point and time..but I was in a rush and made it 1 of those 'will come back later for' things. I can give you the addy for the thread on his board about it...but that's the most I can do...sorry

Maybe this doesn't belong in this topic, but check out this site www.informit.com . They got many books online and for free!, for those who don't want to put a fortune on books. Just search for photoshop or something.

Ah, there seems to have been a typo of some sort... As seen in that thread you posted, transcendence, it's semiotics.
