Heya

Just letting u know that we have put up a temporary url for 3D Palette: http://www.gamedev.net/hosted/3dpalette/
Unfortunately, right now, its just the message board, but its a start.

We're under a subdirectory of gamedevs because we still havn't been given the 3dpalette.com name. It looks like we'll be setting up shop with gamedev for the future (as in they'll be giving us hosting, but we'll get our own domain soon), which should give us some stability, as they've been around for awhile, and Flasher knows the owner of them quite well, and he says he's reliable and trustworthy. In the long term, we've been looking at trying to partner up with Polycount in some way, but at this stage, thats just a hypothetical.

We havn't been able to put up our news script or anything else on the site, because apparently, it needs to be rewritten. Everythings such a huge pain in the ass because of Frag.

Anyways, we're progressing steadily towards getting back up. Perhaps drop by the forum, and say hello to us, and a big fuck you to Jonathon Works of Frag who has taken to screening/not answering our calls.

As for the post apocalyptic contest, i recieved the results from Craig about two weeks ago, but I went away, and additionally I've been really lazy. They'll be up soon, so I'll let u know, they'll appear on GFX Artist, or maybe at http://www.gamedev.net/hosted/3dpalette/
Thanks again everybody for entering. I'd like to do a competition like this annually, and hopefully when we have some capital, we can print up calendars or something with them. (sorry, im going into dreamy land.)

In other news, we've also started up Skindom ( http://www.skindom.com ) , a site dedicated to the masterful art of skinning. Woohoo, it should be cool, and theres quite a few different guys working on it (eg. Krow of Skinning 101, Rorshach, and more...) Again, we've only got the message board up, but things are progressing quite swifty on the site, as we don't have many outside complications. Um, if you want to have little squabbles, go do it there, i kind of enjoy them...(synj, fallen, hurry along now...)

Here's the skindom header/logo thingy, which I've really grown fond of. It was made by Martin Kool of GFXArtist.

Btw if you were hosted by 3DPalette we can host you for now at skindom.

Oh yeah, now a little pity plea.
Anyone need a worker (paid) for their site/company for the summer? I have good communications skills (you asshole!), I'm reasonably literate (reasonably...), I'm a hard worker (uh...cough, cough) and I know the internet and all its trappings pretty well (especially the porn side.)

In all seriousness, I am looking for some employment, and I'm sure some of you know me as a good and hard worker. If theres anything out there, please give me a shout. Cheers.

Hi Immi,
What kind of work are you looking for (besides "anything")? I might have something you'd be interested in, but you're in Canada, right? Let me know, bro...

Immi (and anyone else)-

For "very experienced texture artists and modeler/animators," I recommend you send an email to [email protected] and say you're qualified and interested!

Right now, there are 2 positions open at a very good company. Aadin-shore can help you. There are other opportunities, as well. I can't share more info than that... gotta pick up the ball yourself...

If you do send an email, can you do me a favor and mention "chris senn" for me????

Cheers,
-kurisu (chris)
