I think painter 6 has more features and some additional gimmiks.. but I really don't know. From what I've heard however Painter6 is worth its money.
I tried painter classic a bit but I prefer natural media instead of the things on computer (i mean simulation of real crayons etc..). Is there anything more fun than having all hands full of charcoal-dust when you draw ?

The absolute biggest annoyance I have w/ Painter Classic is that it doesn't save your brush settings. Argh!

Painter 6 is pretty damn nice. I used it at school for some class projects. There are more options and specific modes. The one ink mode i loved was the "nervous pen." Painter 6 also supports layers. i dont know too much about it....but i have and use classics too because i am low on the cash.
also, MetaCreations stoped all work and development of software accept for their Web plugin MetaStream. so until some one buys the painter idea there wont be another Painter for a while. |

Hi zthee, I like this image a lot because it stirs emotion in me. If it had a name like 'alone' or something, it would fit for me. The black and red, mixed with brown really give it mood - along with the brush stroke textures. Groovy!
I don't know anything about Painter/etc. but good luck with whatever you decide to use/buy!
