Heya!
I have just regged the domain http://www.bop-gfx.net for free at namezero.com
try it! it's cool (i have also regged kickdown.net for a cool car page)
Ofcourse you are thinking: why is it free? well you'll have to place a banner but you can script it away easily ( check http://bannerkillers.cjb.net on howto script it away)
regards,
bop

I was thinking of getting a domain there; but they ask for all that personal stuff; which I don't like putting down on the net. Hek, I could always LIE That's how I got most of my Geocities accounts. |

It seems cool but I'm wondering what happens to the domain name if you decide to terminate the service - it will remain Namezero's property because they registered it, won't it? Do they offer some kind of domain transfer service, or are you stuck with them for the rest of the domain name's life...
With that in mind, I'd be very careful - if I came up with a good domain name, I'd prefer to at least have the possibility to transfer it onto my own server later. Of course I could register a silly domain name on Namezero, so I wouldn't miss it in case I had to leave it

Hehehe, kos.mandis. The programmers at NameZero who came up with the code to handle the control panel aren't very experienced. It's too easy to hijack their HTML code and eliminate that frame.
sfr, they state that they will sell the domain name to you if you want to move it. |

I registered http://www.xago.com a while ago, took a little over a week to be activated. The funny thing is, I now get all sorts of japanese email-messages I can't understand, addressed to weird usernames @xago.com. I guess the domain-name used to belong to someone else...

i registered my domain a while ago, it took about 3 weeks to do it, but its much faster now...
namezero is 100% free, but they dont offer web hosting, just the domain name that links to an existing page, and infinite pop mail accounts.
if you wish to move away from namezero service its a 14.95 charge for the transfer, plus whatever the other company will make you pay... this also applies if you break the ToS, which includes scripting away the banner or registering multiple domains, so i would suggest NOT doing that, you said you would pay if you violated when you clicked "i agree" even though you didnt read it...
so namezero is good if you dont mind risking the 15 bucks to get it transferred, but if you dont want to spend the 15 bucks and are breaking the ToS... id suggest stop doing that =)
