This is a rather quick (about 30 min) piece I just (kind of) finished.

..it has a lot of quirks, but since I know that I still lack a lot of knowledge and skill in this area I don't think I will be able to fix them yet.

Self critique:

*rather messy (would need to be cleaned up)

* background on left side still very sketchy

* and some other stuff that I see but can't name (maybe her upper body is too long?-- got a lot of anatomy problems as someone stated recently).

I'd be happy for constructive comments and help.

Cya

The first thing i notice is the fact that her back is straight. your spine curves in an "S" shape, and your back sortof goes with it and curves too. where is her other leg? it is kind of hard to imagine where it would be....maybe if the pillow wasnt there, you could see where her other leg is going....plus i think the pillow is just akwark there. parts of her body look as if they are floating instead of relaxed on the sheets and bed. I am seeing this especially in the lower leg and a wee bit in the head. i cant tell if her leg is too long or not either, i think the absence of the curvature of the spine is tricking me to believe that she has no hips...This chick has some thunder thighs too...her thigh is thicker than her torso. Basically, what i see in a nutshell is the absence of anatomy. There is some....but i think if you paid a lot more attention to the skeletal and muscular systems and then do a figure drawing the results will be 50 times better.

You said the left side was "sketchy," i like that! i also love the bed sheets the pattern, even though probably was done quickly, is nice, and the creases and that are real nice. I dig the colors the arent all up in your face.

i think you will be do some kick ass figure drawings and studies if you do some (more if you have) anatomy study, I am not perfect at it either, but i am learning, just as you. Keep it up man. Nice work!

if any of this isnt understandable, or you just want to yell at me, my email is [email protected] feel free to drop me a line.
