Very cool, I like the composition especially.
Critique: The background is *phew* great!
The fire on the ship looks a bit artifical (not "real")
The girl's face (jawbone shading too sharp) and hair would need some work to fit the rest of the picture's quality.
Anyway great work! |

Holy Mole!
That's a friggin' good piece...
Very good composition, great sense of scale and depth, and I love the sunlight.
....I agree with Nex, work a bit more on the hair!
What is the original resolution, and could you post a link?
Hiya

Nice work. Great lighting. Only bad thing I can see about it is that it reminds me of the movie "Battlefield Earth". And that movie blows. |

Gordillo: Very nice one!! The thing that bothers me most are the still visible black outlines on the ship, the bright red fire, and I think there might be something wrong with the perspective on the ship -- perspective perhaps too 'steep'. But I really like the image, love the sky and environmental mood. |

Say Gordillo, do you like orange?
fav. part of the pic would probably be the right side, with the mountains and the slightly blue sky. But I agree with Frost on the perspective of the ship. Also I think the girl has a weee bit to much red light on her.

Dude if this was "Battlefield Earth" the picture would be tilted at some ungodly angle. |

Damn, Gordillo... that's awesome.
I won't bother repeating the suggestions above, as they're the only ones I see. I love the picture as is, though!
Man, I gotta learn how to do clouds and backgrounds, landscapes, etc...
Can that stuff (the background) be done in Photoshop, or do you need Painter's brush power to do stuff like that?
If anyone knows where I can find links to creating good backgrounds in Photoshop (I don't have Painter) please let me know!!!
Oh great. Now look what you've done Gordillo.. you've inspired me!! THANKS A LOT!

critics:
-that dude looks like it's made out of wood..
(hair&face)
-fire unnatural and smoke looks quite fat in my eyes...
