Well, I came to work today hoping to here from the Spooge about the head drawing assignment. Nothing yet. But, I am starting to do a chit load of character design work, so I decided to take our old guy, and make him into a character for a story I am working on that begins in Morocco. Spooge couldn't have posted better reference for this story. So, this is a quick doodle in the sketchbook, done as an ink drawing that took about 15 to 20 minutes, then I scanned it with a quick colorfill to the lines. The sheep was added for the heck of it. Usually in my design sketches I will throw some goofy secondary character in; part of the synical side of me. Just thought I'd post this, since it has spawned from the project and it was for fun and to warm up...
Spooge, can't wait to hear from you...Are you planning to start the head drawing demo next Friday, or will you be posting that first step tonight? I wont be at my regular email address tonight, try the freddy flickstone hotmail address...can't wait to start this thing...
You have also inspired me to take some of my plien aire paintings and digitize them, could be a good way of seeing brushwork you might never have tried...thanks... |

As I have said a few other places, I forgot i was going to be gone for 5-6 weeks and would be unable to finish what i started, so I handed the reins to Freddy. Sorry bout this, but you are in good hands. maybe I will do one when I get back.
