Well, I'm new to digital art, and this forum, so none of you will know me. However, I am talented at art in general, and am going to study a BA in Computer Arts at university next year. So I need to know how to start. I don't have a comp good enough to run photoshop, but I could buy a digital tablet thingy. Which one is best, and how the HELL do they work? Do they include built-in paint programs, how comprehensive are they, and is it worth me bothering to get one? REst assured, if I get one on my two week holiday in San Francisco in early July, then you will not have to wait long to see some of my work!

If you're comp cant handle photoshop, you must have like a 386!

I run PS 5.1 on a P75, and I used to run 2.5 on a 486!!

I have 400, but my bro is on that thing like 24/7 playing half-life, so I dont use it much.

I have managed to tweak my 75's setting enough to run Photshop and Paiter with acceptable performance. It's not perfect by any measure, but it works.
