Wow, very cool picture !
One day, maybe do a tutorial on sketching
I am really curious to see how you did it..

What about a little contest ? not really a contest, but if the people of this forum try to texture it just to see some different results ? hum, just an idea i had..

here is a texture work i did on a draw by sanko (www.chez.com/sanko) :

the black and white pic by sanko :

and the final version with my personnal touch :

dines.

Hey Micke.
It really looks great. Very nice proportions, but a few comments, if I may; the back collar seems too high and possibly too forward by a few (relative) inches -- I have trouble grasping where the perspective merge point lies, and I think eyes usually bulge upwards instead of downwards. She really looks great, love the hand!

You're one of my favorite artists on this board and I really look up to you as you are much better, I feel kind of bad pointing these things out.

best regards,
Danny 'frost' Oros

Tell me you got that pitch black by adjusting the scan in PS... If not, how damn soft was the pencil you used?

Micke:
Don't listen to these guys. They are overlooking her obvious Asian descent, which implies shortened extremities. Your drawing is actually remarkably consistent for a petite, darewesay stocky, but athletically solid young woman. Elongating the appendages will make her too willowy for her frame. Excellent concept sketch!

I think that many of those things makes perfectly sense

29A:I might colour it sometime, but it was'nt made for anything special.
Mozeman: Thank you! I love your work.
Dines: A contest? Sure you can do whatever
you want with it. Please feel free.

Frost: No, please dont feel bad. I really appreciate it! I agree with the pespective
on the collar. When looking at it now i
don't know what i was thinking. perspective
usually suffers a lot when i want something done quick. I disagree with the eyes though,
i have a bit similar shapes of the eye, but
maybe i'm the one thats weird Please don't
feel bad when pointing out things like this.
I find it very helpful and usefull.
You're a very talented artist.
Aliasmoze: Thanks! i like your work.
Zor: yeah you are totally right! I saw it
right after i took the sketch out of the scanner. I tend to get blind sometimes
while drawing
Affected: I used a pencil all through.
It's more like a crayon actually.
"Derwent Drawing-Ivory Black-67" It was
just lying a round the desk.
Kos.Mandis:Thank you
Invinsyblninja:Thank you too!
Drunken-monkey:The short arm irritates me so much now so i can't see anything else
Binke:Tack! Jag ska kanskje till Stockholm i sommar.
sedone:what's up with her arm? well it's to
short is'nt it Love your work!
Ctrl+z: Sure, go ahead.
freddy flicks stones:I've seen
your work and it rocks! yeah that darn arm..
I'm gonna try and do it all over Thank you.
Synj: Thanks! Keep on doing what you're
doing! love your animations.
genesequence:Ha ha! great handle! Thanks man!

I'm back!
I Started from skratch and tried to avoid
all the f**k-ups. Guys, please help me out with this. I changed the hair(i prefer blondes anyway) and the eyes(just a little bit) also added some details on the vest.
I tried to fix the collar too.
The arm is longer and the hand a bit bigger
I hope the arm is long enough now. Please
comment.

Also here's a early stage of the first drawing for those that's interrested.

Thanks.

It's such a cool sketch that I wanted to work with it and add my $0.02 - hope that's OK!

And ctrl-z, I'm not trying to horn in on your act or anything - I look forward to seeing your interpretation, too.

Interesting...the skin tonesare a bit muddy though, maybe its screen calibration. Females, no offense if there are many reading these, should be painted with richer tones in te flesh to make them look warm and beautiful, etc. I like youre new sketch that's up Francis, looking good...

Excellent as always, but I have to admit that I prefer the original face to the newer one. The original is less "perfect" and seems to convey more personality.

Just my $2 worth (I'm very opinionated).

I agree with you there, Mozeman.
I lost the charm while i did the new one.
Looks "stiff" in may ways.

francis: Looking good, but i would make the skin cleaner and warmer, like Fred suggested And yeah, I love your new
sketch with the guy with the helmet.

Hey, i have'nt gotten any answers yet....
IS THE ARM STILL TOO SHORT?

Thank you for the comments.

I think the arm is perfect. It ends at the lower part of the hip, which is right, since the arm is raised a bit. -But I like the look of her eyes better in the first sketches where she looks more angry, ready for the kill -whatever... Her left eye looks a bit weird in the latest drawing. I would have kept the face and look from the first sketch, and added the new "body". Really like the sway, with the west sticking out behind her.
Love your work. These posts are really helpfull.

Micke, I don't want to break your spirit, but this art thing just isn't working for you. Perhaps you should try something you might be better at, like accounting.

j/k

Nice drawing Micke. I really enjoy your work. Wish I could draw that good.
