here's a friend of mine
and yes a photoreference..
i'm not a "professional" artist, so i am still working on composition shape and the fundamentals,. so, don't tell me using a reference is a bad thing,. as i'm still in a "learning" phase..
but other than that feel free to critique..
her website is http://www.twinkies.net/
she's the "my little girl" section |

K...I was "blurry"...
Weird...maybe it's just the girl who is looking weird or you have drawed her weird...
But I quess it was the picture...hmm?
In my opinion her eyes are a liiiittle bit too big and she looks a little bit chinless. And head is a liiitle bit too small. Maybe you have to reveal more of the face...
Please keep in your mind this are my opinions and that other (more experienced) guys have other ideas about the picture...
And, don't think I find this pics ugly...they are not...You used nice bright colors. Something I have problems with, I'm not very experienced in chosing colors...

awwwwww...still have to learn a lot,

the reson they're bright, is because i have a black and whit image,.. then i have 3 layers above this one.. one set to color, one set to overlay, and one set to screen... each of these cover different parts of the image in a few parts they overlap <the really bright parts>
i think if i shrink the bottom of the lip ever so slightly, it will look a bit better,.. and possibly soften the nose a tad |
