Thanks for your time...
Anyway, I am an extremely skilled artist and was wondering if someone could tell me how to "getstarted" on doing some photos like Dhabih does. Is it usually 100% Photoshop? Or is it drafting board, to scanner, to photoshop? Either or is fine.
Cansomeone tell me how I would start a pic with Adobe PS? Thanks a lot!

Greetings Storm.
I strongly beleive a skilled artist would have tried to do something in photoshop first, and having tried, would likely have gotten at least decent results. Please don't take offense to what I wrote, but getting up there is usually a matter of spending a bit of time in the software and learning the interface, seeing how the tools work, etc. If you're already a skilled artist, it shouldn't be too hard for you to apply your knowledge and art skills to photoshop once you know more or less how to use it.
If not, Dhabih has a tutorial on his site that can be quite of help to you, or if you'd like, to have a slight idea or quick overview of how you _could_ proceed, I could offer for you to take a look at some of my crap steps on my website, in the hope that it would help.
Good luck Storm, and welcome.

Oh, hahaha don't get me wrong. I mean, I use to do web graphics for a living so I am definately skilled in that region. But I never tried to do an entire PICTURE in PhotoShop. Theres a difference between logos, side bars and gif's to faces, bodies etc.
See the difference?
Thanks for your help Danny, its highly appreciative. |

storm vermin, if it's faces and bodies you spake of, life drawing is what you need. Not photoshop. PS is just a means to draw the body, face, etc. The ability to do faces and bodies can and does go beyond any one application to do them with. Get involved in life drawing, and then look at the tools offered in photoshop, they are only digital cousins of the real deal... |

And as a small hint for the future, it's usually best not to boom in saying you're 'an extremely skilled artist'... People have a tendency to get a bit miffed. I know that kind of self-satisfaction makes me think of something quite else than 'skilled'.
Basically, no matter how good you are, it's best to let others make their own judgements on that.

I think you guys may have taken me the wrong way. When I said skilled, I meant I was skilled in real ART. I am also good with Photoshop for Web designs, logos, etc. I was only asking for ideas on how to incorporate the two.
Sorry for coming off rude guys, just trying to make a point. I should have some of my work on the net soon.
Sorry, and thanks,

OK, let's drop this discussion, and wait 'til you have something to show. Until then, you can say you're the master of the universe for all I care.
