Hi guys
Anyone know where I might find some good text on Traditional art vs Digital art? articles, essays, columns, anything. Or even if you have a few minutes and would like to share your own thoughts on the topic would be good too. Thanks a bunch in advance.
Sincerely,

The world advances. From berries and leaves crushed into a paste for cave drawings to oils and acrylics. From stone carvings to marble statues. From charcoal, to lead, to graphite. Digital art, in my book, is merely another medium that, in time, will be considered traditional. |

I think digital 'art' has too many subcategories to be clumped in as one medium. |

It sounds like he's doing research on the debate. We all are likely to think that there's no problem, but there's still detractors around the place.
the only thing i can think of off hand was an article some guy wrote to denounce games and everything that goes into them as an art form. It's not quite what you're after, but I think it's kinda the same thing.
Problem is i can't find it.
If you go back through the news on Pennyarcade a couple of months ago you might find it. |

I feel that, like all artforms, DA has its, place. Blurring that line when you feel like it is great too. Print out a PS 5.5 and oil paint the rest of it. Now what the hell is it? Modern art. Gotta loves it.
It is just a tool. The more tools, the more artists will feel free to express. Nothing more. Nothing less.
