Bet you didn't expect it to be done that fast...yes, the filming part of Star wars is a wrap.

We started in Sydney with our amazing Australian crew, and traveled through three continents and five countries in a 61 day shoot |
Now for the backbreaking work, Special Effects. Don't expect this to be done in 61 days, figure a year and a half I expect the release to be 1st-2nd quarter of 2002
BTW: here is the site with the article... http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/news/2000/38/news2a.html

You know, that doesnt say a whole lot for the film.. just the other day I watched Episode 1, for the first time.. yes, the first. I'm not a Star Wars junky, but I do appreciate the old ones for their amazing special fx of their time. Watching Episode 1 rather repulsed me.. yeah, the character's were cool, and the robots, and scenes, but I would of liked it more if I was 12 years old, and had no clue what acting was really about. It just seemed so much like a slapped together sci-fi movie, riding on a wave of hype from a previous generation.
But I could be wrong.. maybe Episode 2 will be better, but the fact that shooting just wrapped up early, doesnt mean its going to be great.. just early.
I should put on my full body armor now.. and run really really fast to a very deep hole in the Earth, perhaps even better, move to another terrestrial body, so I dont get mutilated by an onslought of Star Wars worshippers on the forum.. but it is just my opinion.

/me slaps aquamire
hehe...j/k
I agree 1 wasn't the best, but you gotta understand, that is why 1, 2, and 3 weren't released first. George knew they weren't the best story, they laid the foundation of luke and darth and a lot of other characters, and watching a pod race for 45min isn't much fun....but he realeased 3, 4, 5 cause he knew those were more in the fast lane (story wise) and he needed the support (and money) from those before he could lay the foundation (1,2,and 3) movies out.
I believe 2 will be better. But 3 will be the best. |

he had a good story with ep1. just didn't bother with it. better just spend 200x more time on the effects
and with what chris just said, the same applies to #2 as well

if jar jat binks is in episode 2 im not sure what i might resort to...
episode 1 is the worst piece of crap i have ever seen. im being serious; where is the violence, where is the humor? acting was never a strong point of the star wars films, but episode 1 brings it to a new low. im sorry i would get more entertainment value out of watching aladin than sitting through the horror of episode 1. i say someone needs to ban george lucas from directing movies. |
