hey ho,
I found this site from www.valvesoftware.com cos dhabih works for them i think :-) I'm a Quaker turned Half-lifer, turned TFCer and now wetting my pants waiting for the release of TF2. Anyway I've been messing about with bryce and truespace for year or two and I have all my bryce gallery at www.darkmages.freeserve.co.uk which sadly I have forgotten my pass word to the ftp so thats gonna have to stick there :-D . I'm thining of making a .net/.com/.co.uk site later in the year (if i have anything to put on it that is) I've lurked this forum for a few weeks now (it's teh best way aint it?) and I found some picture i really liked like the "picture of a friend" post from Fallen
was really nice. I'm not that good at this stuff infact i'm pretty much a total newbie to drawing them types of images. But I am used to making textures and graphics for websites (i've made the graphics at www.evil-clan.co.uk and clans.morat.net/nob and am pretty proud of them, I also make and update the evil one)For now i've put in (hope that i did it right) a little image of a weird fat blocks face. see below...
I used paint shop pro 6 (I donts like photoshop)for this as you can see it's only at it's disney stages but I would love your feedback on the structure of the face. I will put in the 4head and some hair and that when i figure out how I want it. I dont bother much with 3d anymore cos it's a bit boring to me i rather sit my ass infront of paint shop pro and get instant results. anyway hi again. and now bye for now :-)

All of the above did not make sence because it was written by your Mum. Yes I'm also your Dad, I know it sounds weird but if you let me sit down and talk to you for an hour it will all make sence. I mean it! |

Dude, did you only draw half the face and then flip it and paste it on the other side? Heh.
YOU DON'T LIKE PHOTOSHOP? PSP is very restrictive. It's great for batch conversions and for scanning pics, but it doesn't let you do much else. Oh well, whatever floats your boat. |

Yep your right I did flip it. Please dont turn this into one more photoshop psp debate ) I also use painter and imager but i just hate working in photoshop it feels so messy to me it's like working in flash. Anyway I'm only realy drawing this face to mess about with this burn and dodge thing I have started off the shading and tones an all that and it already looks far better although I've got to put more shading the the nose and the 4head. Then I'll prolly mess about with the structure of the face with the push and smudge tool (hehe dont worry, I wont mess it up o've sorta got my little way of using it that dont blue it and stuff) I've desided to make him totaly bald and he's got barcode on his head :O)and he looks like a trouble maker now. Anyway I'll post that one on when i like how it is so far |

PSP is a freeware version of Photoshop...less abilitys, skill level is lowerd, less controlleble than Ps.
so Photoshop is better...
...only my point of view

Personally I like DENEBA'S Canvas 7.01 program. All the features of PS 5.5, none of the learning curve, all of the plug-ins that work with your PS 5.5 work with it and it is SO easy to use. Pretty cheap too.
I know what you are going to say right off the bat. Canvas? Well it swayed a seven year die hard PSer. My loyalty is hard to get and even harder to get rid of. ^_^
