Hey, masters. Hoping I could get a little help on a particular problem.
I'm painting a series of backgrounds. They are images from the deck of a boat. It's nighttime and foggy and there are no extra lights on the boat, only moonlight.
I'm having trouble approaching the painting, because my sketches are tending to have little contrast and are greyed out. Any help in tackling this would be helpful.
Thanks. |

Is this a sketch, digital image, or a canvas picture? If it is digital, try using Photoshops layers to their fullest. Try airbrushing sections and adjusting the transparency of the layer to fill the need. The blurring filter is a nice aide as well. Colors I would use are in the grayish greens and blues to bring out that "water" feeling.
More help?
