yeah. the reason it looks undetailed and unfinished and half assed is 'cause i had to do it in a hurry. in fact it's loaded with unfinished areas

Sorry, but I have to agree.. it does look to have some Giger influence on it. I should know, I have a calendar of his work sitting right next to me. Yeah, I'm obsessed, so what!? Anyways, even if that wasnt your intention, it still looks extrememly good. You should be glad that your work is being compared to one of the finest surrealists around.
