Don't really drink much soda anymore....listen to me...sound like I am from the south "Soddaaaaa"

Anyway I drink a lot of water...

But If I had to choose, I would choose Bawls and Mt. Dew, just to keep me awake is the main purpose I drink the stuff...my roommate on the other hand gets the damn shakes if he doesn't have a Mt. Dew at least every hour.

1)Jolt is yummy. But only if it's colder than a witches tit. And in a can.
2)Coca Cola: it's a classic. Also tastes better when drunk from a can.
3)*insert various beverages here* Impossible to choose, I'm usually pretty easy when it comes to sodas.
HATE Dr.Pepper/Cherry Coke. *brrr*
I like ice tea a lot. And Snapple, and Kopperberg Cider. But that's getting into alcohol, and we don't want to go there, do we?
Yeah we do. What's your favorite alcoholic beverage?

Favorite alcohol?
Guinness Extra Cold. Mmmm. Always pisses the bar staff off tho cause it takes so long to pour.

That, & JackDaniels, with a tiny splash of lemonade in. Or neat - whatever.

Expensive tastes, huh?
Incidently - how much is alcohol in America? And why the hell aren't you able to drink till 21?
"Hmmm...we're not going to let you touch alcohol for another 5 years...but tell you what - as compensation, have a gun & a car when you're 16."

& how old do you have to be to own a gun license?

Damned Puritanical American.

Gun licenses are usually around 17 for pistols, 18 for rifles.

Gotta be 21 because 89% of teens over the age of 16 drive, and booze + vehicular transportation = Not Good (tm).

But half the kids drink anyways.

Sodas:

1// Dr. Pepper
2// Cherry Coke/ Cherry Pepsi
3// Coca Cola/Pepsi/Barq's Root Beer

Well..I gotta go with Mountain Dew. Although I was one of those junkies in college that DID get the shakes when I didn't have my caffeine intake hourly. hehe.

Just for the record, you have to be 21 to purchase firearms. (i.e. handguns) And there's either the 5 day waiting period, or some gun dealers have an insta-check machine to run your history. From what I hear, they're even jacking up the driving age here in America as well.
The main difference in America on alcohol is this. Our primary goal is to get plowed. I'm talking, slur your speech, beat your wife plowed (Not that I condone that in any way.) In foreign countries, while I'm sure that part of it exists, alcohol has been around and has been introduced with meals, etc. at an early age. I'm assuming because your water supply is shit. (I know Mexico's is from personal experience.)
Just some thoughts. Off to work I go. w00t!

Red Kola, the perfect accompaniment to fish and chips!

Must be different for states..cause here they told me 21 for handguns and 18 for shotgun/rifles. And 21 for alcohol of course, 18 to smoke, and 16 to drive... Oh and 25 to rent a budget care, and 18 to rent a UHaul...so I can rent a 2 ton truck, but can't rent a small geometro...that is phucked up I think..hehe

el tigre: My ex-flatmate used to go to life drawing classes in the evening at Edinburgh College of Art (which is actually run by Heriot Watt University but retains it's independance). Anna's life drawing sketches were fantastic. She asked me to come along on a number of occasions but I never ended up going.

You probably know this already, but in case you don't the College is based in Lauriston Place near the Royal Infirmary. It's a huge red brick building. There's also an art shop(open to the public) in there.

Our local chippy does a half pizza & chips for 2!!! Mmm.. and a bottle of Vimto.

SaltyDog: Umm, most of the ppl I know (16-19yrs) drink to get intoxicated. And the water's perfectly fine, we drink tap water here in Finland without fear of death/disease. But yeah, in some countries I'm sure your right.
We get to drink and drive at 18 (but not at the same time ). Though only "mild" alcohols. Stronger stuff at 21.
NO idea how one might go about getting a gun here... Not very popular.

I live in Finland as well, and I don't think I know anyone who has a gun... Well, I know one kid who goes hunting sometimes, but I don't think he has a gun of his own.

Hmmm...I've been meaning to try those mars bars for a while...Sounds 'interesting'. Unfortunately, its not like you can buy em from the chippie down south, so I'm going to have to cook some of my own up. Any suggestions on home cooking them?
