After some great artwork being made in painter recently I thought I would give painter classic a try again.
After I installed it I saw that everything worked just fine except that when painting on the canvas the pixels would not appear at the brush but about 100 pixels offset (in x and y direction).
I have the latest drivers for the wacom and in the wacom control panel there seems no way to get rid of that.
Also Metacreations has no Painter Classic related patches on their site any more and Corel does not seem to support painter classic either.
can anyone help? |

I don't own a tablet, so I am not sure.
But, it sounds like a config problem. You remember you had to config the joystick to make it know the rotation and center, so games could reconize it better and accurate, well the same might go for the tablet.
Go into your device manager and right click on the tablet and click on properties and see if there is a config tab or button or equivilant. Or if it came with it's own software look in there for a config.
The config might ask you to press the pen on certain points on the pad to get it configed right so your canvas knows about the points on the tablet.
But then again, I don't own one so I am guessing. |

thanks for replying chris - the tablet works perfectly in all other applications (including PS).. so it has to be some bug in Painter Classic.
My personal guess is that painter classic is not compatible to the new wacom drivers...? |

Try to goto the programs url site and see if they have a config program you can add-on for wacom tablets to config with their software, other then that stick with PS |
