Okay, are there ANY eggheads around? A programmer with enough spare time, expertise and most of all - willingness to share the finished product, is wanted.
I have a relatively simple, but still too advanced for me to do myself, idea which might be able to benefit people. If for nothing else, then simply out of curiosity.
The finished product should be shared as freeware with everyone, that's why this is all on a volunteer basis.
It could very well be beneficial if you have experience with or knowledge of brute force techniques. Rest assured, everything is 100% legal! It also has nothing to do with hacking, but the knowledge could be helpful in developing this program.
I'll put together a description of what exactly it is I want, once I know if someone is interested in doing this. (how can you know if you're interested, without knowing what it is? Easy, you have lots of time on your hand and love solving challenging problems + a knack for finding solutions to problems that don't have any).
Also, everyone who is interested in helping out with ideas and solving of technique problems are welcome.
I don't care whether you know hardcore assembler, c++, visual basic or whatever you use, but you need to be proficient and able to make efficient and complex programs. Graphics display and generation is an integral part of the program, so if you don't know how to make pixels appear, don't bother. Also integral to the program are extremely huge numbers, so you need to know how to handle stuff like 400 to the 10000th power.
Also, as far as I know, nothing like this has been attempted before. And if it has, I'm sure I'll be told once I describe the idea in detail.
Curious as to what it is? I would be
This first message is to check out how many actually have the knowledge required (or think they do) and interest in working on a freeware product..

I know what I'm doing, but I'd want more details before I agree to anything.
I've traded my coding skillz for $72K. I know 6 assembly languages, C, C++, Java, etc... |

Who, for god's sake needs numbers of 400 to the 10000 power?
Note: Consider.. there are only 10^87 electrons in the universe..

I've traded my coding skills for a Wacom and
a 21 inch monitor (plus more money and a social life hehe) some years ago.
