HOLY FRIGGIN' A!! I went to my memory pref. in Photoshop and I was only using 50% of my 128 MB RAM!! Sheesh. Thanks for the tip Trance..now Photoshop won't slow down to a snail's pace when I work on something bigger than 150 dpi :P

Most people here have a background image on their desktop, and it takes up resources. Especially if your wallpaper size is above 1024x768. A typical 800x600 bmp wallpaper takes up about 3% resource on a 64mb ram system. So... get rid of that wallpaper!
Another resource hog is Window Blinds. And take a peek at your system tray. See those icons? Each of those icons means a program is running in the background and that drain resources from your system as well.
Final note... change the memory setting in Photoshop. Increase the memory used by photoshop to about 90% to 95% of your total amount of RAM. That way photoshop will use as much RAM as possible instead of using the sluggish virtual memory.

God Speed!
