hi,
as i was looking through your website, i came across a picture u made to duplicate natural media by making your custom brushes. what i was wondering is if you could show what sorta custom brushes u use, or even share a couple of them (if it's not too much to ask). this would really help me, im sure along with everyone else using photoshop in this forum. thanks a lot

If you would go for the realistic approach, you could press a real brush (with paint on it) onto a piece of paper, and see what kind of shape the spot has. Open a new document in Photoshop, duplicate (or scan) the spot and define it as a brush. I think that'd work. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/wink.gif) |

Unless the brush is flat, in which case turning the brush won't be replicated, of course.

I gave a set of my brushes to a pal at dreamworks once. I came back a year later to do a talk and they set me up with a machine, launched PS, and what do you know, there are my brushes... They were everywhere there, I guess.
i made my brush set very quickly a while ago and have not bothered to change them much. Did the picture of them help? I only use a few out of them anyway. I think i will hang onto them but I don't know why, they are nothing special. |
