Just wondering what y'all use and how you set it up.
I use Adobe gamma thingy. It seems pretty good. I know some would have done theirs by using stuff that came with their video card (colour reference cards and so on).
how'd ya do yours and how hard to you think about what your pics look like on really bad or badly set up monitors? |

Well i've only got a 15" monitor but it does its job, happily runs 1280x960x32mill(i know bit extreme on a 15inch but hey) I use PowerStrip to adjust the gamma as its the easiest proggy around imo.

I use the 'Adobe Gamma Thingie' as well. But one thing I've noticed is that pics that look fine on my cpu, look EXTREMELY dark on others' screens.

Just how important is it to set up your montior's color settings? Unless something really seems off, I just go with the defaults.
If the settings are closer to the color than I can tell, and it is the same default as everyone else has (with same video card/monitor), I don't see the need to screw with it.
Heh, please - someone enlighten me. |

Hey I've got this problem...I don't know anything about these color schemes and adobe gamma and so on...please help!
When I want to create a dark picture, it might look too bright on someone elses monitor. I guess it has something to do with the gamma thing? =)
