Thought I'd post a pic that is work in progress for me right now... It is a digital re-make of an incomplete sketch from several years ago... The first layer is the scan @ 300dpi of the original sketch of 8.5x11" set to 5% opacity and the layer above it is the fine lines I'm doing right now... Original image size is about 4x larger than this...Any feedback would be appreciated...
Oh P.S. -- No photo reference used, drawn from imagination.

Hell; I should scan some of my SCI-Fi stuff...

1996...2B and HB graphite on 20lb cotton -- Approx 40 hours...

20lb cotton? You sure you don't mean 200 lb? You would rip through 20lb cotton like toilet paper (unless you have a very light touch). Anyway, nice technical drawing. Do you use values much (lights/darks)?

Yeah I do mean 20lb cotton; Basically, glorified copier-paper. =P
Yeah I do do alot of light and dark contrast stuff...check it out on my site: http://www.darksites.com/souls/goth/visigothan -- Go to the artwork section, and you'll see digital as well as traditional stuff...
Don't have any of my scifi stuff posted there though...
